Redwood and Red Cedar

  Redwood Wine Tank
Prized for their color, texture, and unmatched durability, old-growth redwood and red cedar have been the favorites of architects and builders for most of the 20th century. Today, unfortunately, overcutting and environmental anxiety has made finding aesthetically appealing redwood and red cedar almost impossible.

With redwood and red cedar, A Reclaimed Lumber Company is making the impossible once again possible. We have a large quantity of absolutely the highest grade of redwood and red cedar available for immediate delivery. We can turn this rare material into just about any finished product your project may require.

Our redwood and red cedar is unique in several important ways.

Reclaimed material: The wood comes from decommissioned wine tanks. The winery was built the tanks in 1950, at a time when old-growth redwood and red cedar remained widely available. Because of its history, this old-growth material is completely guilt-free. No new trees have been felled to bring this nearly perfect wood to market, and the wood's reuse saves dwindling landfill space.

  Tank Stock
The Best of the Best: When the winery specified the stock for its tanks, it did not let its suppliers cut any corners. Every piece of wood is at least 16 feet long, 4 inches wide, and 2.5 inches thick. It has no defects of any type. And because the wood remained at 40 degrees Faherenheit for fifty years, it is perfectly preserved. One would struggle to find more desirable redwood or red cedar in today's marketplace.

Versatile in Any Use: Because of its long lengths, 2.5 inch thickness, and complete absence of defects, this redwood and red cedar is extremely well-suited to remanufacturing. Our sophisticated production facility stands ready to transform this beautiful wood into the form that fulfills your project's vision. Though the possibilities are endless, this redwood and red cedar is especially well-suited for is suited for decking, windows, moulding, flooring, paneling,
